Tareau’s NBA Predictions 2016/17 Season

Yea I waited a little to do my predictions. A lot of things can factor into Allstar selections, MVP voting, records, awards, etc. So here we go.

Starting Power Forward: Blake Griffin

Starting Small Forward: Kevin Durant

Starting Shooting Guard: James Harden

Starting Point Guard: Steph Curry

Western Conference Reserves

Demarcus Cousins

Chris Paul

Russell Westbrook

Kahwai Leonard

Damian Lillard

Lamarcus Aldridge

Andrew Wiggins

SNUBS:

Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Mike Conley, Marc Gasol, DeAndre Jordan, Karl Anthony Towns, Harrison Barnes, JJ Redick, Pau Gasol.

Eastern Conference Allstar Starters

Starting Center: Andre Drummond

Starting Power Forward: LeBron James

Starring Small Forward : Carmelo Anthony

Starting Shooting Guard: Dwyane Wade

Starting Point Guard: Kyrie Irving

Eastern Conference Reserves:

Kyle Lowry

Demar DeRozan

Isaiah Thomas

Paul George

Kemba Walker

Paul Millsap

Jimmy Butler

SNUBS: Hassan Whiteside, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Kristaps Porzingis, Kent Bazemore, Miles Turner, Tobias Harris, Al Horford, John Wall, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Goran Dragon, Jabari Parker.

Injuries, fan voting, production might shift some of these predictions, but these are why they are predictions folks.

2016/17 MVP depends on standings honestly. If the Clippers can keep racking up wins and finish #1 in the west, than Chris Paul or Blake Griffin will be considered heavily. They might cancel each other out playing on the same team, meaning they would steal votes from each other (similar to Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.) Russell Westbrook has the sympathy votes from sports writers all over the nation but I think his rage and his tenacity is hurting Victor Oladipo’s development. Even though it is very early in the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder are currently 8-5 and they are 5-5 in their last 10 games. Damian Lillard is a long shot to win it. So my pick is this man….

Kahwai Leonard 2016/17 MVP.

2016/17 Rookie of the year:

Joel Embiid

2016/17 Defensive Player of The year

Draymond Green

2016/17 6th man of the year

Jamal Crawford

2016/17 Most Improved Award

Now for me it’s out of Giannis Antetokounmpo or Hassan Whiteside. My heart says Giannis but my head says Whiteside. I will pick

Giannis Antetokounmpo

2016/17 Coach of the year:

Ok a few scenarios here. If Luke Walton can get the Lakers into the playoffs, then he wins it. If Quin Snyder can get the Jazz into the playoffs, then he wins it. If Doc Rivers can get the #1 seed in the pacific, then he wins. If the Cavs can cruise back into the Eastern Conference Finals, then Tyronne Lue wins it. So many options so I will choose

Utah JAZZ Coach Quin Snyder.

Well look for the All NBA Teams later on in the season. What are your predictions? Please let me know.

    1. Who are your full predictions would love to hear them. You Gotta remember Leonard as much as I want him to start, he won’t because the fans don’t know who he is. Blake wins it off of marketability alone. I agree with Giannis but Porzingis has been too streaky for me. I don’t know if the coaches will vote him in.

    1. Thanks. The Pelicans will be fine. I think Frazier will continue his hardest work but unfortunately I think Jrue will leave because of Tim’s emergence. Tyreke let’s hope Tyreke can bounce back to his old self. I wish Asik would leave. Maybe y’all can trade for Nerlens. (Lmfao y’all drafted him in the 1st place) but a good shot blocker at the 5 would really help AD out.
